FIRST LEGO League
What is LEGO League?
Our PTA-sponsored LEGO League brings students together in teams to explore the FIRST LEGO League curriculum, build, code, and solve real-world challenges. Each session ends with an Expo where every team shares its project and is recognized across several judging categories.
What Do the Teams Work On?
Every year, FIRST® LEGO® League releases a new Challenge based on a real-world, scientific theme. As participants progress into Explore, children will take their background knowledge of STEM and put it into practice as they work in teams to design and build robots using the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential.
Who Can Participate?
All grade levels can sign up and anyone can coach!
Does it Cost Anything?
For ARE students only: Registration is $65 per student. Scholarships may be available. Please contact the ARE PTA for scholarship prerequisites. Payment can be made via check or online. By check: Please make registration checks payable to ‘ARE PTA’. Checks can be turned into ARE’s Front Office or to the student’s teacher. All checks should note student’s name, their teacher’s name, and grade. Online: To pay online, visit our store where you can purchase "ARE FIRST Lego League Registration."
