Accessibility statement
Every family should be able to find events, forms, and PTA news on arepta.org. We are committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This website is run by volunteers, so we review new features and content as they are added and fix problems as soon as we learn about them.
What we have done
- A “Skip to main content” link and clear page landmarks and headings.
- Every control works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus outline.
- Text and controls meet color-contrast requirements.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap and are named to match their labels.
- Form fields have labels, helpful autocomplete, and clear error messages.
- Pages work when zoomed to 400% or viewed on narrow phone screens.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
Some uploaded documents, such as older newsletter PDFs, flyers, and images from third parties, may not be fully accessible. Links to outside websites (for example our membership payment provider or school menus) are managed by those organizations. If you need any of this content in another format, just ask.
Report a barrier
If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us. It helps to include:
- The page address or name of the page.
- What you were trying to do and what got in the way.
- The device, browser, and any assistive technology you use (optional).
We aim to reply within 5 school days and will offer the information another way while we work on a fix.
This website is independently managed by the African Road Elementary PTA and is not an official Vestal CSD communication platform. Statement last reviewed October 2026.
